Please bear with me on this question and topic. I have had no success is using the reports and I find myself failing every time I try to do even the most basic report.
To begin: I get a request to run a report on a server using out wonderful new S.A.M. tool. The user wants to see three servers CPU and RAM usage for the entire day on March 1st. The report needs to makes sense to the user and it needs to show all three servers running calmly then show the crazy spike in usage of the CPU and RAM and then show the three servers returning back to calm again. Hence the request for the 24 hour period of time.
Now I find myself having to log into the actual Orion Solarwinds S.A.M. server and open the ORION REPORT WRITER. It is at this point that I can only fumble my way through this application and I never get a useful report.
Am I even in the correct and best place to run a report or is there something else I should be trying to use?
Is there a way to use an existing report that I don't see or do I need to create a custom report from scratch?
I am trying to get all three servers on the same screen showing the CPU and RAM usage for a 24 hour window on March 1st.
Do reports like this exist and do I need to download them and install them somehow?
I would be perfectly happy to create the report by hand but I need instructions I can keep forever so I can repeat it later if asked to.
