QoE Licensing

I've just received an E-Mail from Solarwinds saying that there are changes to QoE licensing in NPM and SAM v11.5 and 6.2.

An upgrade to 11.5.2 and 6.22 is required for this new licensing.

I've been on 11.5.2 for ages and I presume this new licensing is the 10 free QoE server sensors?

Why send out this E-Mail now when its old news?

Yes, HF2 is the one you need to use.

Hi Jon,

when we introduced QoE for free into NPM and it was the only change so we didn't change the version number. To get free sensors, if you are an existing customer, there in an option to upgrade using patch only so you don't have to download and install full bits again. Therefore, unless you have downloaded and installed the QoE patch in a last 3 weeks, you still don't have free QoE.

That makes better sense thanks, I presume its NPM hotfix 2 for 11.5.2 that I need to install to get QoE for free?

When it says that it is free, is it based on the license you have? We have an unlimited NPM license but we do not use SAM. How many sensors would be able to deploy? Obviously there is a hardware limitation for the number of sensors on the server.
