Statistics and Report Writer ( don't you love 'em ?)

I've run an availability report for April with the following

SELECTEDFIELD   - field availability sort * function average

TIME FRAME - last month

SUMMARISATION - do not summarise

resulted in one line report with an availability of 70.07 % 

when i ran the same report with SUMMARISATION  by date

a 30 line report , the first 27 days at 100% and last three varying between 3 and 62 % ( we had problems )

Can anyone explain how Orion arrives at the averages , - mean, modal  , median and does auto summarisation come into play ?

I canot reconcile the two reports .

thanks very much - I read the thread with increasing depression - This is a serious flaw from my perspective
