Missing Application form a Novell Zenworks Server

I was trying to monitor some Applications of a Novell ZenWorks Server, but I'm not able to find them all.

For example I can't see the service novell-zenserver.

Is there maybe a configfile I have to edit?

I don't think there's enough info here to help. Have you opened a Support ticket?

not at the moment

I try to monitor the applications via SNMP-Monitor, but the applications I need does't appear. I've this Problem on more "Novell" servers

You should run a MIB Walk on the hrSWRunTable - 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2 and see if it returns the name of the applications you need to monitor.

If they are there, then open a ticket as advised by Denny as something might be wrong in APM.

If you cannot find them, you will probably need to refer to the SNMP Agent documentation installed on your Novell servers to figure out how to populate the apps in this MIB table.

If you have Engineer's Toolset, you can use SNMP MIB Browser to quickly check if the app is in the MIB table.

Start > All programs > Engineer's Toolset > Classic Tools > SNMP Tools > SNMP MIB Browser

If not then you can use snmpwalk in command line.

It can be downloaded from the below URL as stand alone tool without the need to install the full Net-SNMP package.

Extract it on the Orion box
Open a command line and go inside the snmpwalk folder
Type the below command:

X:\ snmpwalk.exe -v $SNMPversion -c $CommunityString $IP_Address $OID
Please replace

$SNMPversion by the SNMP version supported by your device (1 or 2c).
$CommunityString by the SNMP community string (e.g. public)
$IP_Address by the IP address of your device
$OID by the OID or the MIB you want to walk.
Press Enter.

It will tell you that some modules are not installed which is normal and you should see what returned your device.

If it returns "No Such Object", then the MIB is not supported or you specified wrong protocol version, community string, ip address etc...
