swtrapservice.exe issues HELP!!!

Hi,

We are running version 8 on a pentium xeon with 2 GB of ram. The swtrapservice usually pulls about 1.5 GB of ram. However, sometimes the service will stop, build up to 1.5 GB again, stop, etc. I don't know what the norm is for this service, and would like a little insight if anyone could tell me. Anything helps, I am still a learner at solarwinds.

Are you having a problem with SolarWinds Orion or SolarWinds Toolset?

It seems as if everything is running fine except that particular service. When the service stops, the website goes down. Te service restarts in 60 seconds and ll if fine. However I am afraid that we will not receive all the alerts we are supposed to. IT seems like there is a memory leak. When it stops there is a memory exception error. We just upgraded it to 8.2, but the issue started the day before. And of couse it continues after the upgrade.

It's not clear if you're using Orion or Toolset? Which is it? Which version are you on? Orion's latest version is 8.1. Toolset's latest version is 9.0.1.

I think toolset 8.2, I am answering you on vacation, so I don't currently have access to it. Anyway, whatever we have, it is 8.2. I can't tell you the size of our database but we are carrying over 8000 routers. This is an ongoing issue.
