Graphical report of traffic in/out for a specific cisco switch/router

Hello,

can we have a report to show the complete traffic in/out for a cisco devices through solarwinds NPM.

eg: if a router have 5 interfaces, the report can show the sum of bandwidth of all 5 interface and utilization of that complete bandwidth historically May be for last 3 months

Hi,

based on your question I've understood you would like to see the bandwidth rate of a specific router/switch interfaces from the last 3 months.

Well, yes it's possible and actually very easy to accomplish.

Basically you can create it as both chart or tabular report and then change the report to focus only on 1 specific device/group as you wish, select the elements you would like to see in the report.

For example , Receive and transmit Bps.

Then, make sure you change the report interval for the last 3 month and sampling based on your requirements (every 5 min / hour /24 hours etc...)

Note that in order to see accurate and not summarized data for the last 3 months you have to modify the polling settings under system settings (as well take into consideration that this will probably increase the database size).
