WAN Configuration

I couldn't find an answer to this question. I'm having to re-configure several remote site WAN interfaces with new static IPs (provided from the ISPs) and I wanted to know if it would be possible to automate this via a job or does the job run like as if I was typing it and runs one command at a time and obviously the connection would drop during the job? I'm probably better off just exporting the current running config or last backed up config and making my changes and uploading and doing a copy <filename.cfg> starup-config and rebooting with the new IP address configured on the interface.

I'm just generally curious if this is something that NCM can do or would the loss of connection stop the job from completing?

ALL NCM scripts and templates run as if there was a person at the terminal so you would drop connection. However if you are using Cisco with an appropriate level of code you could possibly create an Embedded Event Manager script that would perform your changes for you. This would only be really worth while if the steps for each changes was similar except for device specific info like IP. For anything that is not the same you would want to have it as a node custom property and then use that property in your final script/template. I have used a similar combination of NCM and EEM to bounce interfaces and I have included the EEM script below. To call that script I would run event manager run bounce_port <interface> (for example event manager run bounce_port gi0/1). If you decide to use this method and need some help I will do what I can to help.
