Node Status Up/ One or more interfaces unknown state

I have only been using Solarwinds for 2 days and I cannot seem to find out how to get rid of unknown state on certain interfaces. Is there a way that i can ignore certian IP's and get the status color to come back up green on MapMaker? Would i have to use Alert Suppression?

Generally SNMP is treated as a low priority. You might check for access-lists possibly blocking SNMP? You can alert based on the interface being in an unknown state. This will trigger whenever SNMP doesn't respond. Also, a simple restart of the Windows SNMP Service should clear these out.

i reset SNMP and edit advanced alerts? i dont get it.. i guess i will just keep them unmanaged

When you list resources for the node, do you receive a list of interfaces (and volumes, if applicable)?

ok here is the problem... i have 2 Cisco Call Managers and two different places that have unknown status on there gigabit server adapters, i cant control what they do over there but i have to have it on my solarwinds. those 2 Call Managers are making the whole site yellow/ i unmanaged them but it still pops up as a down node. i just need to know what to do to hide it if possible

yes there are 2 interfaces when i list resources on the one call manager, a loopback and a gigabit server adapter
