We are happy to announce that the Release Candidate for NCM 7.1 is now available.
Release Candidates are fully supported early releases of our products and can be installed in production environments. If you own NCM covered by current maintenance, you can download the installation packages from customer portal. Should you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to reply to this post or send me e-mail directly.
This release contains the following improvements and new functionality:
- Improved Database purge and cleanup activities to avoid performance degradation over time, due to clogging of the database and disk directories with downloaded configurations.
- Inventory-related improvements (incorporation of inventory reports from thwack, better Juniper Inventory reports, …)
- WEB UI performance improvements
- Performance improvements related to Inventory
- Support for Additional Polling engines to increase the number of manageable nodes or distribute the load across multiple polling engines.
- More native device support (e.g. Alaxala, Apresia, MikroTik …)
- The “Settings” page is moved to the WEB.
- The Real Time Change Detection (RTCD) feature is easier to configure.
- Config Change Template scripting language improvements (e.g. string parsing and manipulation) to reduce the need for external scripting
