I want to be able to monitor all these drives on all these different windows servers. What I want to monitor is disk space. I want to be alerted when a disk reaches 90% or more. What is the best way to go about this?
Add the server to Orion as a managed node via SNMP or WMI and you will be prompted to select which volumes you wish to monitor on that node.
You can then enable and customize the default out-of-the-box alert "Alert me when the free space of a volume is less than 5%"
Thanks for the quick response. For each resource I select to monitor, will that use up a license?
Each monitored volume would consume one volume license. SAM is licensed by nodes, volume and components. Meaning that an AL150 license allows you to monitor 150 nodes, and 150 volumes, AND 150 application components for a total of 450 monitors.
