Create availability reports/graphs for clients

Hi,

We use NPM/APM to monitor our clients websites using the HTTP monitor in APM. In the past we had been using www.pingdom.com. We used their uptime and response time graphs to send monthly emails to each client with uptime statistics about their site.

I would like to know if there's a nice easy way to generate "pretty" reports for clients. Just a page with an availability graph, response time graph etc and an overall availability %age. However the availability should come from the HTTP monitor and the response from the Nodes ping monitor.

Is this do-able? If so how?

You can set up a custom view for each client and then use report schedule to email a link to that view each month. If you don't want to make them login, we have a feature called DirectLink.

Unfortunately, Report Writer doesn't support graphs (unless that's changed in 9.5). Otherwise, you can definitely create a report that provides this information if it's based on any one of following report types:

APM: Historical - Component Availability
APM: Historical - Daily Component Availability
APM: Historical - Response Time of Components

All of them allow you to create a report that provides component availability (HTTP monitor in your case) as well as average response based off the poller's ping response from each corresponding node. The last report type, however, adds the option of displaying response time for each component as well, which may give you a better overall picture of performance.
