Where are the cached device login credentials stored?

Hello...

In NCM, when you edit a node, one section that can be edited is "Login Information". You can choose either "user" or "device"....

When you choose "user" the remaining fields in this section are populated with the information personal to the user logging on to the system.

When you choose "device" you can then populate the rest of this section with "new credentials", the "global credetnials" or any set of credentials used previously.

I need to know how to delete stored device login credentials entries....can someone tell me where this info is stored?

Ok, I see.   The "cached" list for each field is actually based on values currently in-use by other devices, so it isn't possible to delete this list.   To prevent users from seeing previously specified values in drop-down, you should enable hiding of passwords (File > Security).

Thank you for the response Mr. LaPoint...

However, I wasn't asking "how to specify" - rather...how to *DELETE* stored login 'device' credentials.

In settings, under "Login Information" I had to choose: "Reset all devices to use global login configuration". Doing this, made the Global Login the only login and removed all other choices from the drop down menu for username on that same page.

You see, I ran into a security risk when other administrators were able to see device credentials that were cached in this section. I wanted to know where this information was stored so I could set up a SQL script to delete it nightly.

If you go to File > Manage Users and select a user.   You'll see the ability to specify Device Login Credentials.   HTH.
