Node limitations for NCM only

Hi,

Is it possible to hide particular devices from a user group in NCM 7.0.2, but still have the device available in NPM?

For example, a service desk account can see all devices in NPM but in NCM the account cannot access configurations from ASA's.

I know we could set up an account limitation but to my knowledge this hides the nodes from all of the Solarwinds modules. The only alternative I can think of is to disable all NCM access for the service desk accounts.

Has anyone else tried to do something similar?

Hi Steven,

Maybe it would be sufficient to just disable some NCM views in User Account Settings and assign appropriate NCM role, of course.

Thanks Jiri. This will be useful for the cases where we want to allow read only NCM access but not provide access to the configurations.

Unfortunately however, it doesn't seem possible to deny access to certain devices.
