Appinsight for Exchange: Average Document Indexing Time

Hello - i have a problem with this counter.

So i can't edit the template, and i can't seem to set the threshold on the monitor. The expert knowledge says it should be less than 30 seconds at all times, which mine is, but it triggers all the time. looking at the below screen shot

It seems my threshold is 0.00ms

This is proving to be a real pain, as it is continually alerting for no reason.

Any help would be great!

Note to say that this shows under database copies - not sure if that makes a difference

Average Document Indexing Time is a metric that's available at the mailbox database level. Go to the Mailbox Database Details view and click "Edit Thresholds" in the top right of the screen. There you will be able to adjust the threshold for this metric.

Hello,

It is possible to change the thresholds for these metrics,

You can navigate to Settings -> SAM Settings -> Manage Application Monitor Templates

From here you have 2 choices

1. Modify the Assigned application monitor which will isolate the changes to that 1 specific monitor (Preferred)

2. Edit the template which will push out the changes to all instances of that application template

If i edit the template, i don't get the same as you. some of the monitors are greyed out, and if i expand Average Document Indexing Time:

Which is a bit weird!

That looks odd, maybe a browser issue or maybe you don’t have rights to make changes.. can you try IE and if you have admin rights, check your account settings under SAM User Role

I have full admin rights, and it's the same in IE. Think i'll have to open a ticket!
