Detection of Configuration Changes

Sorry, if this was discussed before, but is it possible to utilize the Syslog Service or SNMP Trap Service from Orion NPM to detect configuration changes? Both Orion NCM and NPM are installed on the same server.

It is possible.  You can setup the alerts just like the documentation says.  We are running it in this method.

Thanks for your response. I've configured it and have successfully downloaded changed configuration. But after reviewing logs I had to disable the Syslog alert, because I've ended with bunch (every couple of seconds) of Syslog messages "SYS-5-CONFIG ... configured by snmp" from device, bunch of log files Job-SyslogJob and a bunch of "downloaded and discarded Running config - no change" entries in the Rtn.log file.

Sounds familiar to anyone?
