Nope that's hard coded. No available resource is applicable to your request as far as I've checked.

When you click on the alert name it should take you to the active alert details, where you can click on the Acknowledge button in the Alert Status Overview? Not exactly what you were asking for, one more mouse click required.
Does the "Service Desk" account have "Allow Account to Clear Events, Acknowledge Alerts and Syslogs" set to Yes?
