Config template noob - question regarding updating SNMP

I've not used config change templates before and I'm trying to figure out how to best use these for my situation. I need to add a new R/O SNMP string to all Cisco devices in our environment. I grabbed this template from Thwack:

My issue is, this includes both IOS and NX-OS devices, which use different commands for adding SNMP. Is there some way I can use 1 template to differentiate between the 2 different device types and send them different config snippets to apply?

Hello,

Create script:

script ShowSysDescr(NCM.Nodes @ContextNode){ CLI  {    @ContextNode.SysDescr  }}

and run against your nodes.

This is simply System Description, found in Node Details resource:

You could differentiate this by System Description.

Try to edit this script as follows:

if (@ContextNode.SysDescr contains 'IOS'){  CLI  {    configure terminal    // do what you want on single IOS  }}if (@ContextNode.SysDescr contains 'NX-OS'){  CLI  {    configure terminal    // do what you want on NX-OS devices  }}

(@ContextNode is NCM.Nodes SWIS entity)

I suppose that description on NX-OS devices won't contains 'IOS' string.

Is there some way I can see what the ContextNode.SysDescr is per node just to see what some nodes report back?
