custom command template

i downloaded the F5 command template that Chris had posted on the content exchange and put it in the appropriate folder per the admin guide but when i drop the window down to select it i don't see the template. i have exited the cirrus gui and reentered with no luck. is there a specific naming convention it must see? i have tried two different named files and i don't see either. i do see all the canned templates.

Just to confirm, you put it in the "<install dir>:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\DeviceTypes" folder

ok, looks like i got it. looks like a file naming issue. now i just need to get the prompt right i guess because it failed. is there a way to debug the config download process?

Session Trace is the best way to debug template issues. You can turn the session trace on by going to File -> Settings -> Session Trace options.

ok i got it. i tried adding another with a additional naming but it didnt work either. guess it is very specific on name. i thought i would one per unit (we have 6) cause based on Chris's instructions you must change the prompt to reflect that unit's name. i tried the same modified config with a different unit and it worked. i guess the prompt name does not matter after all
