We are constantly getting SNMP Authentication failure alerts from our Orion server. We have checked that the community string is correct on the device.
please advice here
to be clear: where are you seeing the authentication failures?
if it is in the traps area then the error isnt on the server it it the distant device you are trying to poll.
to verify the snmp is correct go to the node view hit edit node then click on the test button below the snmp setup area.
green = good and yellow means the device did not like the string you have selected.
