Uninstalling Solarwinds ?

Hello to all:

Previously I have participated in this forum commenting about some problems of my paginates web of orion. Thanks to its counsels I have been able to solve these problems.

Now I have another question. The first one version of solarwinds that itself tapeworm in the business it was 7,8 and the version has been brought up to date 8,1 and recently to the version 8,5... apparently all went to the perfecccion, only that note certain instability in the database at the moment of to call to certain type of informacion in you determined modules and tools.. I have thought about uninstalling all the modules and tools of solarwinds and to install the version 8,5 from zero.. my question is if exists a series in transit or procedures for carried tip the uninstalling(if have to be erased registrations, etc) and that so feasible is to begin from zero.. thanks

You will need to uninstall from the add remove programs any older versions currently on the computer.

Can you clarify that you want to begin from zero? meaning do not wish to retain historical data and you want to create a new database?

With beginning from zero I refer to carry out an instalation new and not an actualitation of version. Of course that I want to conserve my historics data. Although i like to know if a metod inside the options of the tools exists of solarwind of I to be able to create a new database and to emigrate the data. The procedure (of migracion of database) is the same one that on time deactualizar the versions?.. or that you recommend in this case?

Yes, you can keep your old DB and stats-
Uninstall all the previous versions and then
Reinstall 8.5 and then point to the old database while running the Configuration Wizard

or you can uninstall everything and reinstall orion and then create new database and then migrate over your old DB over using the SQL Mgnt. tools-

As always backup your DB before trying either method.
