Seems there are a few different processes running on the NCM Box and I need to determine what services are critical for operation of the box . . . All I see in the templates are Web Monitoring, and SW NPM Application Monitoring.
SO, when running a Stand Alone NCM Server this template(SolarWinds by aLTeReGo) has services that are not running on the server. The inclusiveness of the NPM applications is incorrect for this type of setup, as the application will always be down or critical due to the lack of NPM Services running on the NCM Stand Alone Server. A new application template has been uploaded to cover the processes of this type of setup. Review the template before use, as your custom install may differ.
Solarwinds NCM Segregated Server
The Orion Server template should be applied to the server where NCM is installed.
I have a separate NCM Server; are there any considerations there, off the top some of these services on your template are running on my NPM Server, and not the NCM.
Thanks, I figured either you or Bronx would be replying to this.
Unless you're running NCM 6.x or older, NCM is built atop the Orion platform, so this template is applicable regardless of where you are running it.
Are there any other processes that should be picked up for monitoring is really what I am looking for. My NCM server has processes that my Web Engine / NPM Does not.
