I was trying to locate where this variable pulls from in the email options of an alert
${DefaultEmailTo}
${DefaultEmailCC}
I have recently inherited NPM and I need to remove someones emails address from this variable

More than likely it's a node custom property. Go into Settings, Manage Custom Properies and see if you have those two values. You should be able to edit the values for the devices you need to change that way as well.
nothing located in the node custom property see below
Someone must have set these up somewhere , I cannot find it for the life of me

If you have access to the Orion Database Manager or SQL Management Studio you can run this query:
select * from information_schema.columns where column_name = 'DefaultEmailTo' or column_name = DefaultEmailCC
Running this will show you the tables that those are in, if they exist in the database, and based on the table should tell you if it's a volume, interface, or application based custom property.
Also, what kind of alert is this? On the Trigger Condition under Type of Property to monitor, what's the option that's selected?
Group Alert is the type
Group status is equal to Down
Trigger action is send email , where is see the defaultemailto variable in the TO: field
Where is this configured, i dont think i should have to do sql commands to edit this?
