Hi
I think I have spotted a bug with our Orion maps but I'm not sure as it happened only once and the cause was fixed very quickly.
Just to give an insight to how we have our maps set up. Our map home page is of our core which has drillable maps connected with links leading off it and those maps in turn have other linked maps leading off them and so on and so on. We also have on the bottom of every page an orientation tool bar, for important maps not linked to the currently displayed map, they open the map of choice for a user without having filter through other maps to get to them.
What happend was that and interface on one of the nodes in one of the maps went down, the interface in question is a WAN point-to-point link and is only connected to one other device represented in only one map. the link changed colour as it is supposed to but from the home "core" page the status of every other map changed to yellow. Infact the status of every map representation on the system, including the orientation tool bar changed to yellow. I opened maps in both the browser and in the map maker with both showing the same yellow warning status.
Now the interface in question was only down for about 5 minutes so as you can imagine I had little time to investigate this at all, or even if it was the cause but as soon as it can back up the maps returned to normal. Is this a known problem? We are not yet complete in our map making process but when we are finished it will be important that the display maps are a true representation of the network status.
Thanks for your time
Ciaran
