NCM configuration choices

I am starting to gather information for adding NCM to my current NPM/SAM/IP SLA setup.

I saw that you can add NCM on a separate server or on the same server.

My primary poller is currently running at 80% capacity.

I am leaning towards loading it on a separate server to keep from loading down my primary poller.

Will I lose any functionality spliting them or are there any good arguments for keeping them together on the same server?

OK, we discussed your scenario internally and our recommendation for you is to choose the integrated separate server case (i.e. NCM on different machine). Your NPM will be safe and you won't lose any integration functionality.

if you want to learn more about different deployment scenarios, please check the NCM 7 Architecture and Deployment blog post.

If you choose the integrated separate server scenario, you won't lose any functionality comapred with the integrated single server case.

I read the document and that was why I came here to get some insight from the people who actually have it deployed and are using it.

Things have a tendency to work differently than the designer expects.

Appreciate your response, guess I should have put in the original post that I had read that document.
