I've read through all the discussions about the issues with monitoring AIX applications because AIX versions below 6.1 do not fully support the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB. I am also aware that the prescribed remedy is to install Net-SNMP. In my case, as in others, this is not practical for various reasons. Running processes can be fully seen on AIX 5.x though the IBM-AIX-MIB at 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.191.7.2.1, in what looks like the same (or similar) format as the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB at 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2.1. Is there any way to change (or create a new version of) the SNMP Process Monitor APM component to look at the correct MIB for these systems? I believe that SunOS users are in the same boat.
