NCM has a global username that is set under NCM Settings - Global Device Defaults. If this is the incorrect login for this device, you can over ride it by editing the node and adding the correct username/password.

If you go into the server and run Solarwinds Network Configuration Manager, this is a nice utility to help you. Select the router, then under Actions you can use "Validate Login Information" to help troubleshoot.

This is where I would start.

Try manually telnetting to the device so you know which credentials and settings work. Then apply them in NCM.
