Is there a way to eliminate this? Some values display the thresholds in yellow and red.
AppInsight for SQL is listed as a SAM applied template on the node details of the specific server that you've applied it to.
If you navigate to the Application details page for that applied instance of AppInsight for SQL you will have the ability to "Edit Application Monitor"
Just as with other SAM templates, changes made at the Applied Application level will be specific to that instance and will not affect other instances... Unless you edit the template itself. If you edit the template the changes will affect all instances that have not had the template setting overridden.
By removing any value from the threshold field (creating a blank field) you will remove any threshold value and the color bar on the AppInsight details page. This will also prevent the component from going into warning or critical status (depending on how you change the values).
This is a better picture. Deadlocks/sec is fine but when I see red I think there is an issue.
Thresholds in SAM are based on the thresholds on either the individual server's monitoring template (as for anything other than appinsight), or in the special case of AppInsight for SQL based on the appinsight for SQL template which is applied to all servers.
If you do not want a warning or critical threshold by which the color is based off, edit the template for Appinsight for SQL (not the one for the specific server), and remove the values under warning/critical that are defined in the template.
You cannot change or these on a per-server basis aside from baseline thresholds as there is no way to have a single template via appinsight - everything is based on the parent.
