Monthly Utilisation Report
jonchill
I have setup a report to display the monthly serial utilisation for our WAN. The problem is that even though i have made the selection the previous 12 months it only shows the previous 3 months stats. I know that the stats exist as it displayed febs in apr and it now displays mays and has dropped feb.
Can anyone give me any pointers as to where the problem may lie?
Thanks

Jon,
Check your database settings in the NetPerfMon app.
Sounds to me like you're keeping the daily statistics for 90 days - not 365 days.
I keep mine for 415 days, which allows me to gather year end reports during the first few weeks of the new year.

Are you sure you aren't purging your data after three months. I believe that might be the default. We actually keep detailed stats for a month, hourly stats for 90 days and only purge data after a year. Take a look at the "Database" tab of the "Settings" dialog inside the System Manager to find out what your settings are.

I've checked my settings and the daily stats 365 days so I've increased it to 440 to give me a year and a bit.
I'm still not sure why I should of only got 3 months worth of stats if the setting was at 365 days.
Any other ideas.
Thanks

Try creating a new report from scratch. I have found that sometimes a query can get messed up, and the only way to fix it, is to start over again. Try it first with a smaller
time frame (last 3months, this year) and then keep expanding the time frame.
What happens if you change the report to show the relative time frame data in quarterly,
monthly, weekly, daily ? Is the data there in those reports?
