Does anybody know what the best practices response time and statistic thresholds are for IIS, SQL and Exchange WMI Performance Counters that are built into APM 2.0?
I am receiving all of the data via the queries, but i don't know what the thresholds should be set to. I have been told in the past by Solarwinds support, that Statistic Data numbers are percentages. However, if I am configuring URL Cache Flushes Counter, for example, and I put in 90 for the statistic data, the monitor is constantly in the critical state because the value being returned is 20,260. If that is the number that the query is returning, how can the number that I enter be a percentage? I'm looking to find information on what number is the best practice threshold for the url cache flushes counter to be in the "critical" state.
I'm not only interested in the url cache flushes counter threshold, I'm interested in all of the best practices threshold numbers for all of the counters built into apm 2.0.
bytes sent/sec counter, get request/sec counter, buffer cache hit ratio. etc, etc.
These monitors are great, but they provide no value if the thresholds aren't set correctly.
Thanks.
