Image Quality problem

Morning friends!!

I have searched the site & forums a bit and tried a few of the proposed solutions, but none with success

I'm busy with a layout of one of our server rooms. It has an option to select any of the switch/server cabinets - and then have a full view of the cabinet with each server (imported from Visio 2007). We would like to zoom in on a server, to see what it looks like - and also to mark nodes (eg. ports) on the devices for monitoring. The problem is once I zoom in on Solarwinds, it loses all it's quality. I have checked the screen resolution on the Solarwinds server console but it is set to its highest resolution already.

Here are some examples. Figure 1 is the zoomed in version of the cabinets. It looks fine in Orion Network Atlas but once I save it and check the Solarwinds side, then it loses all that quality.

Figure 2 shows that some of the other graphics in Solarwinds also loses quality when zooming, so my guess is that it's not a conversion problem between Atlas & Solarwinds, but maybe a setting on the Solarwinds server or web interface??

Still experiencing the same problem. Nothing seems to fix it Do your menu buttons also lose quality when you zoom?

Currently the menu bars are images, so if you zoom in on an image, doesn't shock me it might blur a bit. How much are you zoomed in? If you zoom out, how does it look?

You are correct regarding the menu bars being images. At standard size the bars and images look perfect and not distorted at all. I'm not so worried about the menu bars, but zooming plays quite a big role when it comes to node assignment on images, especially when you would like to monitor specific ports visually. We have imported Visio stencils of all our networking devices into Orion Network Atlas, so we have an actual representation of the device, eg. a switch, which looks like the actual device. In Network Atlas the quality of the image stays perfect, even if you zoom into the maximum level, but as soon as I save it and pull it into Solarwinds it loses all it's quality. This also applies to TEXT used in Network Atlas.

The maps we are using are not saved as Jpegs or other image files. They are standard Atlas Maps published to Solarwinds.

Did you ever find a solution? I noticed with me everything looks better/sharper in atlas than it does in solarwinds.
