Tried the docs as states but not working anyone else has issue with AVAMAR and SNMP Settings?
If it fails the first time, try deleting the snmp.conf and snmpd.conf file in etc/snmp/ and rerun avsetup_snmp
Has anyone had any luck getting Avamar working with SolarWinds. I got my node added but it just shows up as a Linux server.
I just added it right now, I am going to continue to play around with it.
If it does not get recognized properly, please submit the vendor, model and sysOID and we can get a defect filed into the system
Working on getting our AVAMAR sysOID and model information you are requesting....seems like an important enough product that SolarWinds would maybe take some initiative and get this from EMC and work with them to enhance the product and/or really provide value in the SAN monitoring you have been rolling out in the last several months.
