MSMQ Message Age Monitor?

Props to ALterEgo for this doc: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-164360

I parsed through it, but cannot find any Event ID's mapped to message age. Has anyone created a monitor to check for Message Age and alert if the first messagae in MSMQ is over n minutes old?

I don't believe that would result in a MSMQ event being generated so you would need to collect this information using another method.

I'd recommend you look at this application template as well

But to be perfectly honest I'm not aware of a method of determining the age of the oldest message in the queue. This may be possible via PowerShell but honestly I'm not sure. This would require some research.
