Does anybody have a simple ASA OS file transfer template handy?

I'm new to Solarwinds and I've been playing with the built-in OS File Transfer Template all morning trying to get it to work to push an OS upgrade file to a bunch of ASA's and I can't get it to run. Does anyone have a template that they are willing to share?

I have a Device Template that can upload an IOS image to the system and verify that it is uploaded. The only step that it does not do is change the booting image and reboot.

So here are a few simple ones. They are real easy to use. One for transferring the IOS using tftp and one for scp. You may have to change the system description field in the template.

Let me know if you need any help. The .bin IOS files need to be in the root directory of the SolarWinds NCM TFTP or SCP server.

I really like your template. I didn't think about making the transfer protocol a selection. duh.

So I went with Sean’s template and I’m having some issues. When the script run the ASA is trying to confirm each variable. Is there a command to keep the ASA quiet? Or can I set the script to add “enter” to confirm the variables?

Take a look at one of mine. See if it works. First, send me what is in the description field for the ASA under Node Details on the SolarWinds website node page. If ASA is not present, my script will need to be adjusted. Mine should work for what you need though. If there is not enough room, a line can be added to delete an old IOS.
