Run-Time Error "0" When adding Node to NCM

Hello,

While attempting to add a new node to NCM I receive a Run-Time "0" error in NCM. The device "ping" test comes back successful and "Validate SNMP" is responding to SNMP queries, but when the "SNMP Access" is checking read-write SNMP Access the error pops up.

I've tried restarting the NCM IIS service, as directed by one of my co-workers, but that did not solve the problem. Does anyone know of another service that could possibly need to be restarted or what the root cause of this problem is?

HI Matt--

What version of NCM are you running?

I checked the support logs and found a case similar to yours and what fixed it was:

"specifying the administrator password. We also found out the the database needs to free up some space and after doing that, the error was resolved and jobs works perfectly."

This occurred in NCM 5.5 but may apply to your version as well.

Try these and let me know how they work for you.

We (were) running 6.0 then went to 6.1 and that is when the trouble began. We've reverted back to 6.0 and have no troubles. For now we are going to continue running 6.0 and when we get some time we will try a hotfix that was provided to us by technical support.
