Is there any way to assign Custom Properties to applications? I want to do different alerting based on if an application's criticality is Low, Medium, or High - and using Advanced Alerts, I figured it would be easiest to make three alerts, and have the Advanced Alert trigger condition depend on a custom property on the application. Note - this is not per-server, a server can have applications of different criticality.
SW support says there's no OOB to do this and suggested I post here to see if someone else has done this. I can certainly set up a test instance and try entering a new column into the DB and see if it's available to see from the Advanced Alerts Trigger Conditions, which is what I'll do if no one has tried this successfully.
We're currently using the old Application Monitor, we'll probably be going to APM pretty soon. I don';t know if that has any bearing on what I want to accomplish, however.
