NCM Installation Problem : Blank Username ?!

Hi,

I'm getting - user "" cannot created - notification when I start NCM wizard. Currently,I'm using W2K3, MSSQL2K and Administrator user to log in NCM. How can I solve this problem?

Ok, solution to follow:

Open regedit and navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\SolarWinds.Net\Configuration Manager\

Create a new Key with the name of Wizard. From within Wizard create another key with the name of ConfiguredModules.

On the right side of the screen create a new string value with the name of 1 and a data value of True.

Run the NCM Configuration Wizard again. It should go threw correctly this time (It did for me...)

Thanks a lot. Wizard worked successfully. However, I saw only blank pages at any tab ( Home, Compliance v.s) . When I clicked Customize I'm getting the following error

I had the same problem as the OP had, but the instructions posted in this thread fixed it for me. However, I've yet to install this product without requiring manual 'hacks' like this to get it working.

edit: my bad, it wasn't the exact same instructions. This is the thread I was talking about though, may help. thwack.com/.../48101.aspx

Please continue to work these cases through your support rep. Since multiple customers are experiencing the same issue, I'd like to understand the exact scenario a little better to ensure we're testing this throroughly for 5.1.

Are all of you experiencing these issues installing 5.0 from scratch or are you upgrading from a previous version? If upgrading, from which version? Also, what database version?
