What rediscovery actually does ?

I noticed that if an interface disapears from a node in the web interface that interface apears as "Unknown". That's usefull for deleting that interface. But what if an interface is aded phisically to a node, why doesnt it apears on the NPM also?

I believe rediscovery only discovers changes to an existing interface. So if I change the description on an interface, it will get noticed on the next rediscovery. That is one of my complaints also, that it does not find new hardware. Maybe in the next version?

I really hope so... it would be so usefull...

SW needs to add a new checkbox: "automagically add new interfaces/disks/etc"

I don't know why it's taken so long to implement this.
