What's New in NCM V5 (formerly Cirrus)?

Question

Besides the web interface, have there been any other new features added since V4?
Example, can I now use custom grouping in the Configuration Manager more than layer deep?

I'm currently using Cirrus V4 on my Orion NPM V8.1 server with no issues.
I will be upgrading to Orion NPM V9.x once several broken features have been fixed, but in the meantime I'd like to upgrade to V5 NCM on this server (without the Orion integration).
I notice the V5 install downloads and installs Microsoft .Net 3.5, but I'm worried this may break my Orion V8.1 install...

Has anyone installed NCM V5 on a server running Orion V8.1?

Thanks Chris, I was looking for the release notes but did not see them initially.

I expected the release notes to be in the downloaded ZIP file in PDF format, but I see it is only available on-line in HTML format here:

* Periodic Node Synch Job (for new adding devices and custom attributes from Orion NPM) 
* Single-Solution Realtime Change Notification (now includes built-in Syslog and SNMP Trap servers)
* Enhanced device support for HP ProCurve, Nortel, Extreme XOS, Cisco ASA, 3Com SuperStack, and Riverbed Steelhead
* Enhanced Device Template extensibility options, including support for sending post-login pre-command
* Support for using inventory job to rediscovery device details instead of status polling
