NCM 5.5 EVAL expired direct after Install

After installing NCM 5.5 EVAL i got the message "Demo expired" direct after install when the config wizard should be launched.

The is happened:

- on a physical Mashine with NPM 9.5 & APM on GER Win2K3

- on VM with NPM9.5 & APM on GER Win2K3R2

- on VM like above without other Solarwinds components, it was freshly installed

What is the reason?

Problem solved.

If you change the system to Regional settings for the US, install NCM and reset then to DE, everything is fine.

There is probably a fault in using of Date-Time-Formats in non US-Regional settings.

Problem solved.

Hi,

I had the same problem on a fresh installation of Windows 2003 where i have just change the time settings.

When launching NCM the demo was already expired, changing the settings the demo is valid for 1 day.

What must be the time settings on the server and what must be the format of the date ?

As far as ic an remember:

I changed the all local Settings to US.

Date, time, currency and so on.

We are supporting SW-Installations at customer sites. Because of this problem and a few more other problems, we highly recommend to customers to use US-Version of Server-OS.
