Are these full, free products. (Very doubtful.)

While exploring my customer portal I discovered this and am wondering if everyone else sees something similar.

We as a company have never has virtualisation manager, so am a little confused as to where these have come from. My only guess is that these are additional, (hopefully) free products.

But my suspicion is that these are products that would need to be purchased. Similar to when you buy something from Amazon, they recommend other products that go with the product you have purchased.

Eg - You buy a CPU, you need a motherboard to go with it.

Technically, that VMAN integration should already be installed. It's referenced on the Orion side as IVIM. NPM can get some basic VMware details from ESX hosts but anything more than that would require the full VMAN appliance.

They are just optional bits that might or might not apply to all users, or really most users.

There are cases where upgrades don't go quite right and you may have to manually reinstall the IVIM/Vman integration stuff manually, installing it won't give you any additional capabilities except where your IVIM is currently not working correctly. I mostly see it in cases where there is a mismatch between the version of NPM and VMAN that you are running.

SCMP allows you to push things like alerts and stats from NPM/SAM to your SCOM server.

The SDK is used with the SWQL studio to facilitate developing API based tools.

The Atlas to EOC converter is pretty self explanatory, basically adds in the necessary metadata for an atlas map to work in EOC.

Log forwarder pushes windows event logs to NPM via syslog.

Maps are just background images.

The poller migration utility is for cases where you have an APE that you have decided to split off from your existing Orion installation to create a second Orion instance, very uncommon.
