Alert Engine (beta)- PercentMemoryUsed & CPULoad
jkopko
I have alerts setup to trigger when my windows servers have high memory or cpu utlization. I wanted to put the actual measurement in the alert message so I used ${PercentMemoryUsed} & ${CPULoad} macros respectively, and I trigger when CPULoad > 75% or Percent Memory used > 75%. The alerts trigger correctly, but the messages aren't picking up the macros correctly. They just display 0% for either of these macros.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I had the same problem. After talking to support the reason is that not all macros are supported in the beta.
You should find that anything to do with the Application Monitor works ok though!

Could solarwinds comment on when we can expect all macros to work; or when the documentation will be updated to reflect the changes?

Since the application is beta, I expect this would get fixed before the release. Given that it's August 2006, the Beta engine is just over a year old. Despite the shortcomings of the application, it's already replaced almost every legacy alert on my old system.
v8 should be a tremendous release.
