The application SWMacroProcessor ??????????????????????????

Hi

I am gettting a rather strange problem during the night i get 25-30 alerts.

The application SWMacroProcessor on servernames is Up.

What is SWMacroProcessor ???

How can you stop this alert from being email out..

I checked the support logs for this issue and found the following info. See if it applies to your problem.

If it does not, open a support ticket and:

--Reference this thread to Support.
--Post back here with a case number.
--Post any solutions you get from Support.

"We determined the cause of SWMacroProcessor status is the variable ${Application} which can be found under the General category. 
 
To reproduce:
 
--Create an alert.  Under Trigger condition, choose APM:Application.
The rest of the conditions don't matter.
 
--Under Trigger Action, choose send an e-mail.
 
--On the Message Tab, click Build Selected Variable
 
--Click on the General Category

--Select Application
 
--Click Build Selected Variable
 
This will generate the variable ${Application}.  This variable will display as SWMacroProcessor instead of the proper information.

The ${Name} variable works for Application Name so the customer is using that - however, we need to either fix or remove this particular variable."
