Alerting format question

I'm attempting to send html alerts and it seems ${ComponentsWithProblemsFormattedHtml} and ${ComponentsWithStatusFormattedHtml} are not working properly. HTML tags that I manual enter get interpreted correctly so I'm not sure if I'm in error or its the app.

for instance:

${Name} Component Status:

${ComponentsWithStatusFormattedHtml}

gives me

It appears the line breaks are not being interpeted correctly in Outlook.

 

Running 4.2 RC2 clients are Outlook 2k7

Hi adeimel,

unfortunately html formatting of all *FormattedHtml macros can be used for example for alerts displayed on orion web, but not for emails being sent from alerting engine (no matter if you choose plain text or html format). There has been added escaping of special characters for alert emails so it is no longer possible to use html formatted macros for emails. That was the reason for introducing new macros for use with emails, those postfix is *Formatted (it should keep line breaks, but no other html formatting like bold etc.), so I recommend to use ${ComponentsWithProblemsFormatted} instead of ${ComponentsWithProblemsFormattedHtml} for alert emails.
