Job cancelled by scheduler ... again

Has anyone managed to get any sensible feedback on this?

I'm using APM 2.5 and periodically my monitors go into this state.

My script completes without error returning status & message text within a matter of seconds. I have been advised to increase the polling frequency from 300 seconds to see whether the problem goes away - it hasnt.

I have logged this with support but other than the initial 'please send us this information', I've heard nothing.

If anyone from Solarwinds is reading this I'm on the verge of rejecting this product as unstable for producttion

This should be fixed in APM 3. You can try the Release Candidate now. It's in your Customer Portal.

Some questions:

1. What is your support ticket number?

2. If it the same application monitors that go unknown or does it bounce around?

3. Are you changing the frequenct or the timeout? The error you are getting is a timeout error. Changing the frequency probably won't help. Changing the timeout could.

4. Which template are you using that is timing out? Is it one of the default ones or is it your own? How many components are in it?

The same application monitors can alternate between being online and unknown - seemingly randomly.

I have changed timeouts from 300 to 600 seconds both for polling and timeout . That made no difference so I changed them back.

The template is a linux/unix template that I have created. It executes successfully within approx 2-3 seconds when run from the command line and also over ssh.

Connection Timeout. Job canceled by scheduler.

I am having this same problem with several different APMs. My timeouts are set to 5 minutes.

If I run the test manually, everything is good. Was there ever a solution to this?

I am on version 3 and still the same errors. Every monitor assigned to the APM box itself is currently unknown and has been for a few hours now. I cannot find a reason behind the issue. If I use a WMI explorer, I get instant feedback from the same box.
