Event Log monitor - initial poll still in progress

I recently added the event log monitor to monitor certain event logs on our domain controllers. They are all on one poller.

They are still showing "initial poll in progress" after 24 hours. I've re-polled, unmanaged, re-added the monitor, etc. The monitor appears correct, using the correct credentials. The event monitor is working on a couple servers, but most of them it is not.

Does anyone know where to start?

Hello,

It looks like polling job wasn't correctly scheduled. Please try to press "Poll Now" button on this application and wait several minutes. If it doesn't help try to restart "SolarWinds Orion Module Engine" service - it reschedules jobs for all applications during several minutes. If it doesn't help then open a support ticket. If the problem is with scheduling new jobs or with delivering results then we need diagnostics to see the log files.

You may also want to try changing the Fetching Method from WMI to RPC for those Event Log Monitors assigned to nodes that don't appear to be working. This may change the behavior of those component monitors if for some reason WMI is not working properly.

I'm having this same problem since our upgrade on Thursday - even just a basic SMTP monitor. We just upgraded to NPM 10.6, SAM 6.0 & WPM 2.0.1. We added hotfix 2 for NPM & SAM but not hotfix 3 yet (though likely going to do so asap now).

The initial poll is stuck in progress, and all of the charts and data show "error rendering resource id_". If I edit the template though and select the SMTP monitor, hit Test, it returns a status of UP.

I've tried:

created a new template
tried using an old one that works
poll now | rediscover | unmanage/remanage
stopped/restarted all SW services
changed polling engines

Any suggestions before I open a support case? Thanks as always
