Network Sonar Discovery error when adding a new discovery

Question

When attemting to add a second Network Sonar Discovery a website error occurs:

The Orion website is currently unable to display this page. Orion polling and alerting services often continue running, though this page cannot be displayed. Please take the following steps to attempt to alleviate the issue:* Log in to the website again and navigate to another Orion page, allowing you to isolate the error to this page. 
* Ensure the Orion services are still running. 
* Check that your SQL Server is still running and accessible.

Please notify SolarWinds of this error. We will address and help you fix the issue.Your specific error is:The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state.

I have found another post on this topic and the KB suggested therein as a remedy is: http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/1169/I+have+received+a+communication+object+error+in+Orion+NPM+version+9.5

The results of the KB remedy/suggestions were fruitless.  There is no change in the "Ad New Discovery" button results.

Any other suggestions out there?

Also having this issue when trying to update or apply credentials on an Application or server that is monitored. I ran the configuration wizard; restarted the Orion Application Pool then removed and generated the certificates and updated all credential sets before trying to update or change credentials on the specific app/server. I started seeing a new msg when managing the certs, OS stated i needed the 3 Orion certs in the Trusted group, not personal.  Each time I go to test a credential set, or apply it i get this same error regarding the System.ServiceModel... any posted fix for this I have found has not worked

Same issue here:

Trying to poll an APM application that does not work.

Have you tried running the config wizard for just the job engine plugins?  We were having issues with a client's discovery, and that fixed it.  Hope this helps you.
