Diagnostic failed: Keyword not supported: 'provider'.

I'm trying to migrate an existing 12.1 system (running on Server 2008 R2) to a new server (running Server 2019), which I then plan to upgrade to the latest version.

When I run the setup wizard on the new system, I get the following errors and I don't know how to interpret them. I'm quite new to all this and I inherited an existing system so I've never had to install NPM directly.

Stupid problem, as it turns out. I still had 12.0 installed from a previous attempt at this a few weeks ago. Removed 12.0 and the 12.1 installer worked fine. It still didn't like my SQL Server 2017 so I went straight to 12.5 and that's working now.

Did you click on the "Click for more details"? Curious what it says.

How are you going about this migration? I don't think 12.1 will run on a 2019 windows system, nor does the newer software run on database versions supported by 12.1.

Probably a good time to open a ticket to let them help you through the migration, otherwise I think your going to have to do it in steps and figuring out what those steps are will probably be tricky...

Unfortunately the "more details" doesn't provide any actual details, and the link it provides goes to a 404 page. I'll open a support ticket, thanks.

That error appears to be telling you that it cannot access the database > https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Orion-Web-Console-error-Keyword-not-supported-provider
