SolarWinds NCM reviews please!

Hello,

I work for an ISP and we are looking to purchase SolarWinds NCM to manage our configs files. We have 2000+ nodes to add and we have a pretty mixed network (lots of different vendors).

I would like to know if anyone can give me their opinions about the software. I'm interested to find out how easy it was to configure devices that are not supported out of the box (creating command templates). Also If you could tell me if you have any performance issues with 2000+ nodes.
