I am playing around with discovery (haven't used it in 5+ years as SW admin 
), with my ultimate goal being to have individual groups take ownership of the monitoring of their equipment.
I'm running into some snags, though, and would like to know if anyone knows
a) why do some nodes stay in the discovery results list as Changed, even after I have either added or ignored all of the interfaces?
b) is it possible to automatically ignore interfaces that are either not in use (down) or administratively shut down, but still find them later when they are up/in use?
