Public Network Status Page
aLTeReGo
I have been charged with creating a public over-all network status page. The idea is to hopefully give users a single or multiple icon (red-green-yellow) status of our overall network. Probably one for network and one for servers if possible. Our Orion server is not publicly accessible and I am hoping to keep it that way but I would like to use Orion as the mechanism for collecting this information and possibly FTPing this to a public web server. Is this at all possible? What have other people done?
Secondly, I have been asked to make Orion node status information available for Smartphone, PocketPC and Treo like devices that our Tech's carry with them. Has anyone created such an interface? If so how, and could you share this with me? If not, how could I go about creating something like that?

Actually take a look at the directlink feature. I just came on this in the admin guide today. It might let you do what you want. just make sure you do a account limation with it.
